Some users report that trimming just a small amount off the bottom of silicone cap covering the CE4+ coil provides a significant performance boost and/or resolves occasional wicking issues.

NOTE: Low resistance devices rate at approximately.8-2.0 ohms and work extremely well at simulating high voltage vaping. Any low resistance device should NOT be used on batteries rating less than 450mAh. Likewise, they should should NOT be used with high voltage mods (5v or higher), as you will quickly burn up your coil and/or your battery may shut off.

Lower resistance means they draw more current. This makes them hotter and results in more vapor (15-25% more) faster and a stronger throat hit. The higher performance, however, gives them a reduced life span, and the higher current draw will drain your batteries faster (roughly 20% - mileage varies greatly).
